any of the psychics claimed this yet?

"Dutch police said yesterday they were taking the contents of the letter "very seriously". It is understood the author states that the four-year-old lies buried under rocks in deserted scrubland in an area called Odiaxere, some nine miles from the Mark Warner resort in Praia da Luz, where Madeleine went missing. ...etc
Read to end... see...
"It is not the first time Portuguese police have searched an area following a tip off. It is understood their last search was carried out following contact with a psychic medium in America."
Does this mean the SAME area - or a different area?? :-\

Apparently the letter is being treated seriously as it is belived to be from the same person who made the "prediction" regarding the murders of two Belgium children
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle1928568.eceThe bodies were discovered after De Telegraaf, a Dutch newspaper, received an anonymous letter containing two street maps, suggesting that the girls would be found near the railway line - although the bodies were discovered more than a mile away.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/crime/arti...102182,00.htmlIn that case the author claimed to know where the girls had been buried. The children's bodies were found two weeks later in a storm drain near a railway crossing a short distance from the location identified in the letter.
http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/...270362,00.htmlLocal Translator Gaynor Jesus told Sky News: "Apparently the letter came from a medium who pinpointed the location of two murdered Belgian girls - I think this is the reason for such credibility.
..from reading the above it would appear that the children were found as a result of the letter. However other sources claim the bodies were not found as a result of the letters and theat although it was postmarked the day BEFORE the discovery it was not opened up until the day the childrens bodies were found.
After reading more it appears that the letter writer isn't claiming psychic sources, so given the anonymous nature, perhaps its more sinister. Time will tell.

Does anyone know how accurate the letter was in the previous case in Belgium?
From what I gather on some boards the location of the bodies was 2km away from where the letter stated and that the culprit was already in custody. Were the Belgium police already searching the general area or did the man arrested live or work in the same area?
Found the answers myself. From the wikipea article about the two girls murdered
The maps sent to the newspaper De Telegraaf, published 28 june can be found on Telegraaf websiteDisappearance
On June 10 2006 at 01:00, the two were playing outside the bar "Aux Armuriers" in the borough Saint-Léonard, while Catherine Dizier and her friend Thierry Lemmens were inside, reportedly drunk. Around 3 a.m., their disappearance was noticed and the police and Child Focus alerted.
Investigation
Abdallah Ait-Oud, the prime suspect of the murders, in an undated mugshot released by Belgian police in order to locate him
On June 13, the prime suspect Abdallah Ait-Oud turned himself in after seeing his photo on television. He denied having anything to do with the case and claimed to have an alibi. However, it was established that he was in the cafe that night. Moreover, he has a history of child abuse, for which he was incarcerated. He was released in December 2005 from a mental hospital after raping two minors, one being his niece. He never admitted to his previous crimes.
On June 28, the bodies of both girls were found in a sewer in Liège, some 400 meters from the bar "Aux Armuriers".[3] The Justice Department confirmed that the girls were murdered by strangulation, while Nathalie's body showed the signs of sexual abuse. On the same day, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf received a letter with detailed information on the whereabouts of the two girls, a letter post-dated June 27.[4]
...
The google map of the area including the location of abduction, I am assuming Quai Saint-Leonard to the east, and the location indicated by the anonymous map of where the bodies should be found is to the west of Saint-Leonard (south west of Saint Joseph on the railway tracks).
The distance between the two is at least 2km while the wikipeda article says the bodies were found 400m away.
From BBC news story Thursday, 15 June 2006.
My opinion is that the anonymous letter/maps did not provide any help to the police....snipped
Sniffer dog teams have also been searching abandoned houses and a railway line near where the girls disappeared, while divers checked a nearby canal.
...
so the person sent in a letter saying that the body was in an area that the police were already looking in.
From reading articles in the UK media who would blame the public for thinking that the children's bodies were discovered as a result of a letter form a medium who had predicted the location two weeks before they were found. Million miles away from the reality. Of course if psychic powers were real then the above scenario would be happening virtually all the time.
