    Off for Christmas

I'm on leave for the next fortnight, and don't plan to be anwhere near a computer for the whole time :)

Can't post from home - when my wife left she took the PC :(

Have a very merry whatever-you-want-to-call-it and a happy new year .

See you all in a fortnight,

    Jocky

Yeah, uh, if anyone remembers me, sorry for the abrupt departure. My work moved offices and the internet connection was lost for a month (!) and then I went to India for Christmas. But I'm back now! :-)

Ooooh India :) was it nice? I've not been to 'abroad' much and nowhere that's not in europe.

Yeah, that was just like me! I wanted to get out of Europe too!

I don't know about nice...it's different. :) I personally loved it and can't wait to go back, but it has its unpleasant side. There's a lot of poverty and squalor, and the constant staring wears you down. But some of the buildings are so beautiful and they have the most amazing art and textiles.

And the traffic...if you're a thrill seeker you'll love it. The key is to trust your driver and not look straight ahead unless you have nerves of steel. You may end up in the dust on the side of the road a few times, but it's preferable to being crushed by the truck heading towards you the wrong way down the motorway!
