Maybe some footballers could use them, as entering the oppositions penalty box seems to destroy their sense of balance.
I always think it weird that strapping footballers, top athletes after all, fall over with the slightest touch when on the pitch. I have this vision of them being unable to pick up their shopping without sprawling to the ground in the supermarket car park. I'm surprised sports doctors haven't got to the bottom of this mystery malady.
On the other hand, watching a huge footballer, who has been touched lightly on the shoulder, suddenly doing a somersault and then rolling over several times on the ground from the sheer force, is a delight.
It's a pity that the punishment for faking an injury isn't actually the injury that was being faked.
Could give a whole new meaning to the phrase 'free kick'.
