I'm about half way through the book - long title - "50 Great Myths of Popular Psychology - shattering widespread misconceptions about human behaviour."
Very interesting for the amateur. IMO.

I've written a review of it for the Psych learning network which should be coming out soon.
I'd be interested in what you think. I have almost finished it. It is well-written and referenced. Spotted a few typos and spelling mistakes - "miniscule", which even my spell-checker picks up.
And I think they go slightly OTT on cinema and TV reasons for explaining common misconceptions, although the points do need to be made. I suppose that is just me - they talk about films and TV progs I've never seen.
Just checked - only 40 pages to go.
Hi Binde
My review is more from the perspective of using it as a teching / learning resource. I found it a reasonably good book in that sense. There are many others in the market place that also fill that need - but this one is perfectly adequate for its aims really.
I enjoyed reading it - though i found the superficial nature of some entries frustrating - but then it has a wide scope so i guess that is the price you pay.
