    Noah's Ark Farm (again)

It's been granted a kite mark by some educational charity.

    Some people aren't too chuffed

It’s clear, reading the Noah’s Ark Zoo website, that it is run by well-meaning, honest people, and I do not want for a moment to suggest that they don’t believe every word that they write. I also don’t want to get into a debate over whether religious belief is incompatible with scientific enquiry here – partly because there have been some great religious scientists. But I do think that it does not behoove an educational body to promote the teaching of pseudoscience and untruth, however well-intentioned.
    and a slightly confusing comment...

Statement signed by 12,000 Christian CLERGY:

"We the undersigned, Christian clergy from many different traditions, believe that the timeless truths of the Bible and the discoveries of modern science may comfortably coexist. We believe that the theory of evolution is a foundational scientific truth, one that has stood up to rigorous scrutiny and upon which much of human knowledge and achievement rests. To reject this truth or to treat it as ¿one theory among others¿ is to deliberately embrace scientific ignorance and transmit such ignorance to our children."

Probably something to do with this:

    http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...evolution.html

In the U.S., only 14 percent of adults thought that evolution was "definitely true," while about a third firmly rejected the idea.

When mad bastards get control of education, there is no telling how quickly one can resurrect the Dark Ages. Man is fundamentally irrational, one generation of miseducation can have lasting consequences.
