    he does seem to be talking about things way above his head....

    Yes. Why does Cruise think that it is a privilege to be brain dead? His meaningful speech lasted about 5 seconds, and that was completely incorrect.

    Poor little Tommy Cruise;

    Reading between the lines, he seems to be a damaged and somewhat disturbed human being. If that wasn't bad enough,he has the added disadvantages of being short,gullible and rather stupid, possibly a little paranoid.

    On the up side,he's a passable actor,allegedly seriously rich and has a dazzling smile.I've always thought he'd make a spiffy Mormon missionary.

    My favourite quote about Tommy came from of all people, Dr Phil, when Tommy criticised Brooke Shields for taking anti depressants: "Why should I care what some actor thinks?" Put Tommy completely in context. I then extended the principle,first to celebrities generally,and later to virtually all anonymous others.
