I've not heard of this idiocy, never mind call it a "thought".

    What's a "thoughtform"?

    New one on me.

It does make me marvel over the flexibility of the human mind, to be able to keep functioning in society while believing something so clearly insane.

I, for one, would welcome any alien overlords with the patience of waiting 4.5 billion years (the age of the moon) for the dubious please of controlling mankind.

It's at least 40 years old as an idea. I have a 1970s book called "Our Mysterious Space Ship Moon", which, I'm afraid, I bought when it first came out. I think that Brinsley le pour Trench had already published a similar book in the 60s or early 70s.

To summarise the original theory: Moon is lighter than Earth - Hollow spaceship? Doesn't look like Earth - from somewhere else? Grey colour - like a battleship or TV SF spaceship! Some photos of the Moon have straight lines on them - not a camera effect but proof that it is artificial! Some Apollo mission conversations were confusing to a layman - proof of a conspiracy!

I have an album by David Bowie ( Hunky Dory, 1971 ) I thought it was his idea! Side one track four....

Gosh - suddenly my eyes have been opened - it's so obvious once it's described so clearly and logically!

A thoughtform is a point of mental view folks, but go to the Icke website and you can view that in his latest book (which I admit I too would buy), is the main discovery that the Moon itself is a UFO type of planetoid which houses beings which are mentally mind controlling the Earth masses.
One respected poster in the Icke forum has actually gone so far and stated that NASA should go to the moon and drill into the surface, to have it out with the HOSTILE BEINGS. I am learning more and more about this, and is it fact that is never made public for a reason.
Oh I did have an outburst a few years back, but I am more secure in myself now and I realise that Icke is the victim of cyberbullying mostly. I ain't wa atnting to be in that party at all, but the Moon story is well discussed by alot in the conspricarcy circuits now.

A thoughtform is a view of mental mind, that is all.
Anyway go to the website of David Icke and see the advertisement for the latest book on this.
The book is called 'Human Race get off your Knees' and cos I like a great read, I too would be buying this book.
This thoughtform is controversial, and actually it is believed in too.

    What does this actually mean?

    Re: The Moon Matrix story

I don't understand how the aliens could make a giant spaceship out of cheese. It just wouldn't work would it?

"Mental" is an adjective meaning "involving the mind". So the phrase"mental mind" is as stupid as "canine dog" or "juvenile child".

"Thoughtform" is an invented word much loved by woos - it seems to be a sort of manifestation of a thought which can be seen or experienced by others.

Meaningless gobbledygook, of course - like everything else Icke gives credence to.

'Discovery' implies finding out something which is real, not making up something which isn't.

Which just goes to show what kind of people must inhabit the forum if someone like that ends up as one of the more respected posters.

    Bullying?
He's talking nonsense, just like he did before he had a web presence, and is thought of as ridiculous by most people online, just as he was thought ridiculous by most of the audience when he was talking nonsense on TV.

Possibly it is slightly unfair to mock the afflicted, but balanced against that is the influence that one nut like Icke could have on many people who are already teetering on the edge of sanity. I'm not sure that selling vulnerable people outlandish paranoid fantasies helps anyone apart from the person who is selling the fantasies.
