I have returned home this afternoon to find some effing idiot (one of my housemates) thought it was a good idea to install XP security tool 2010 on my desktop computer. Not only does it constantly prompt you to buy and install the full version it fucks with your browser, wont allow your antivirus software of firewall to run and sticks shed loads of shortcuts to porn on your desktop. Cunts
Queue a couple of hours of fucking around to get it sorted. For rants sake I will summarise:

1) Realise immediately with all the fucking pop up alerts something is wrong.
2) Find anti-virus wont open
3) Fuck around for 10 min re-installing anti-virus.
4) Run anti-virus to no good effect.
5) Run spybot to no good effect.
6) Google it like I fucking should have in the first place.
6b) Note that I'm accessing the internet from a mobile dongle which I'm having to constantly switch between fucking machines. Cunts
7) Swear repeatedly at the fact that every time I open something I get a million and one fucking security pop ups.
8) Rewrite the registry bollocks.
9) Install malwarebytes and perform a run which takes over an hour. Bastard antivirus now conflicting with malware remover. Have to cancel scan, switch off antifuckingvirus and restart.
10) Rerun antivirus just as a check - another fucking 30 minutes
11) Rerun spyfuckingbot
12) Stick post it notes to the fucking computer warning that if it happens again someone will be fucking killed
13) Drink

One good thing, no two, actually make that three, good things to come out this are:

1) I've installed the Avast version 5 on both my computers which finally comes with a user friendly interface.
2) The new Avast has replaced the dull male American voice used for alerts with the dulcet tones of a fit and sexy female one.

Alternatively (a cheaper option), there's always Linux. You no longer need to be a geek to use it. I started using Ubuntu 5 years ago and have never looked back.

The only drawback is that you don't have the range of applications available, but for general word-processing/Internet it's fine.
