    Happy New Year all!

Hope you all have a good night and a great year! I also hope that it's a long time before any NY reminds me quite as much as this one how fast a decade goes by!

HNY Floppit, best to warn you that in a few seconds time Munchkin will be off to university, hanging round with the boys etc - decades are nothing.

What's this 'off to university' we have two perfectly good uni's here (well one good and the other one just in case!).

I'm also teaching her to dance, lessons from me should ensure she never pulls!

Wishing all a frugal, prudent, and abstemious 2010. Don't forget, you're not here to enjoy yourselves.

[calvinist] Ye're born in pain, ye live in fear and ye die alane. Aye, it's a grand life! [/calvinist]

Anyway, a happy New Year to all when it comes. I shall be raising a glass of Caol Ila and congratulating myself on my abstemiousness!

Happy New Year all, may we all have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010, and a great decade too.

I know you are not being serious - too much voddy? - but even in a New year, making silly assumptions is not a great idea.

Might be an idea to have a read of THIS which explains it rather nicely.

    And why such angry reaction?
Have been caught napping for the eating of xmas turkey? Bon appetite, kitten!

OK. Humour. It wasn't an angry reaction. I didn't eat turkey at Christmas, or indeed have a nap either before or after lunch. Oh, and the term you are looking for is French - "Bon appetit". And I am not in any way a "kitten" - I just have a kitty avatar.
