Put in "pseudoskeptic" and I'm sure all of our profiles will come up!

I've just tried it and I got a few results.

The results from this system might be sparse as it hasn't been installed very long. I might have to rebuild the search database or something....

The forum is probably pretty much as it was before. The enhancements are of more interest to me as webmaster. There's features like promoting forum posts to a blog or to an article but I haven't enabled that yet as I haven't had time to see how it all works.

It might become more apparent how it all works when the members' blogs etc. is enabled.

I think it's only picking up threads which have been updated since the software change. Rebuild indexes or something like that should do it. Not bad - smooth changeover.

Stromnger colours, smaller icons and bigger print would work for me too....

(also sad about waving bye-bye to the Christmas theme- ah well!)

Yes, perhaps the dividers and coloured text could be the same blue as the "flash" though the UKS logo.

And although the new look has a "clean" feeling, perhaps the basic font size could be just a little bit bigger?

I vote in favour of the bland washed-out look and against stronger colours.

(hard for other people to tell what I'm doing when I'm at work)

    Re: It all looks different

The colour scheme looks great on my normal computer, sort of soft pastel colours, but it looks too pale on my laptop which doesn't have such a good monitor.

There will, no doubt, be other skins/themes that will soon be released so it might be a better option for me to install some of those so that users can pick their own preferred colour scheme rather than me trying to tweak the default colour scheme to suit everyone - which will never happen.

I did like the dark blue colouring of the previous forum - it might come back as a 'classic' theme.

I'm working from home today as I'm snowbound for the time being and I've had to fire up the desktop behomoth up the stairs to connct to work and I tend to agree, the colours are ok on a proper Dell monitor on a proper computer. My screen at work is slightly dull but it's a bit more vibrant on this screen, definitely.

The email links now take me to the correct thread, but only to the begining of it rather than to the first post since my last visit

I was of the view that only those of us of a certain age would know what that meant anyway.

Look at the options at the bottom left of the screen.

I used the word proper in reference to my work computer which is a thin client PC running citrix to our applications which now run in the USA. Even a PC with a hard drive is proper compared to that!
