No, I haven't gone over to the Dark Side - I just want to see exactly what goes on at these places. I won't specify the location or date for obvious reasons, but a demonstration of clairvoyance is promised so I'm all agog. Has anyone else here been to such an event?
No, I wouldn't mind going just so that I can say I have been, but on the other hand, I've heard some really bad reports of just how bad it is.
However, I guess there is a chance you could be leaving us soon and becoming a woo based on this expedition?
Me! Lots of times.
Prefer the Abba-singing ones to the ones with dolorously sentimental Victorian hymns - but mileage varies tremendously according to how good the presiding medium is at working the room. I've seen a couple so appallingly bad I've been tempted to stand up and give it a go myself....
And I Know I'd do better..![]()
An Abba-singing spiritualist (or any sort of) church???
Please elaborate!
Well in an effort to be modern and non-denominational some Spiritualist (capital "S") churches with a progressive bent have taken to using popular music instead of hymns. ABBA (I believe in Angels, I have a Dream) and Robbie Williams (Angels) seem to top the charts.
I love ABBA, I love Robbie Williams,
I really ought to have been a gay man....![]()
dalriada dress up as a stereotypical gay "clone" biker.gif, leather hat, small moustaches, leather jacket etc.. and post the pictures here, we promise not to laugh!
It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A... Come on everyone sing along!
Hmmm! Now Mr Polomint why am I getting the feeling you've been thinking about that little scenario rather longer and in rather more detail than was strictly necessary...?
In any case appropriate dress is floatyness as Julia has said, and of course this floatyness will be purple (to match our auras)

When I try to load Attachment 188 it takes me to an administrator login page.
That's odd....
Even odder, in Polomint's original message it appears as an image containing the text "Name: biker.gif Views: 4 Size 640 bytes", but in your quote of Polomint's message it appeared as a link to "Attachment 188". Now, however, it has vanished from your quote altogether but it appears as a link in the trimmed down version of Polomint's message on the type-in page. It still takes me to an admin login page, though.
I assume from the context it is probably the biker from Village People, right?
bindeweede, your insight - as always - astonishes me. Yes, I will be reporting back. Unless I undergo conversion to woo, in which case you'll probably find me over on Spiritlove.
Just to get into the mood I'm about do something I've been meaning to do and then putting off for over ten years. No, not have a bath - explore York Cemetary, which I believe is full of interesting monuments and bats. I don't suppose there will be many bats about at this time of day but I've always had a soft spot for old graveyards.
