It's good to know that we'll be on top of the situation in the UK when the zombie plague breaks out.

The study has been welcomed by one of the world's leading disease specialists, Professor Neil Ferguson, who is one of the UK government's chief advisors on controlling the spread of swine flu.
"The paper considers something that many of us have worried about - particularly in our younger days - of what would be a feasible way of tackling an outbreak of a rapidly spreading zombie infection," said Professor Ferguson, from Imperial College London.
However he thinks that some of the assumptions made in the paper might be unduly alarmist.
"My understanding of zombie biology is that if you manage to decapitate a zombie then it's dead forever. So perhaps they are being a little over-pessimistic when they conclude that zombies might take over a city in three or four days," he said.

OH and I have already formulated a plan for Zombie infestation which involves shot guns, spades, the local army barracks, a land rover and a stock pile of baked beans, tinned pilchards and bottled water. We should also be getting a Bouvier Des Flanders or Thai Ridgeback puppy next year, which is part of our Zombie plan. It'll be useless against Zombies until about 18 months, so let's hope the invasion doesn't happen for another three years. Otherwise were b'ggered.


Sadly, we have considered a Standard Poodle rather than a Bouvier or TRB, in which case we would be seriously b'ggered. Unless we have really big shot guns. And spades. That said, there is good eating on a Standard Poodle.
