Anyone watching on Channel 4?
Yes.
Some jackass GP just openly admited to giving psychic readings to his patients at the surgery.

Missed chunks of that - Child v Stinging nettle emergency!! May watch again on On Demand.
From what I watched, no mention of the Fox sisters, no explanation of cold reading or other techniques. No alternative view apart from a random bloke (was he connected in anyway? I missed the bit before, but he seemed to be just some bloke from a cafe). Very wishy-washy 'maybe' conclusion.
Did the doctor get any kind of challenge over using his 'psychic abilities' in his GP Practice? Did the presenter pursue the dangers the random bloke raised?
I wouldn't bother with On Demand, MM. You haven't really missed anything much tbh. Was mostly about the 'random bloke', quite harmless really (I didn't see any 'dangers raised by him' that needed pursuing(?)
Rather surprising to see the GP openly discussing his use of psychic abilities in his Practice (!) - and no, there was no challenge over that.
Dock leaves the best remedy for nettle sting. (They always considerately grow nearby)
LOL
Used Bicarbonate of Soda in a paste. Basic Chemistry, though I think more cooling & placebo than acid neutralising
Doesn't sound like I missed much. Shame, C4 used to have some good Sunday evening documentaries.
Good stuff, bicarb. Put it on acid and it acts like an alkali, put it on alkali and it acts like an acid, so you don't have to worry what sort of sting you have.
Worked wonders that fateful day I got roped into helping a friend get a swarm of bees out of a tree ... I was the mug holding the canvas bag under the swarm while my bee-keeping friend climbed up and sawed off the branch!![]()
If anyone is still interested, it will be on C4 at some unearthly hour next Friday - for recording. The one comment here surprises me, as the part I saw seemed to be generally supportive/sympathetic towards spiritualism.

I found a review, but again, not having seen the whole thing.......
But this struck me as a decent point.
http://channelhopping.onthebox.com/2...ts-the-spirit/There’s actually a fine line between a spiritual experience and, what we have historically called, mental illness. Something that is not lost on Richard as he interviews one church goer who has a history of schizophrenia. Is it really a good idea to encourage people to hear voices and to see angels?
As soon as Stephen Turoff got a positive mention, I lost any sympathy for the people in that church.
It's all seemed a bit of a fantasy world for people who are too old for dungeons and dragons.
Maybe not, although I'd be a bit suspicious of any group of grown men (beards or not) who I witnessed partaking in a game of D&D. I'd tell them about pubs.
The thing about that programme that perturbed me the most was the revelation there are no insects in the spirit world. At what point does someone decide what size of animal you have to be to get into the spirit world? I assume from the plethora of animal psychics that horses, dogs, cats, hamsters etc are all accepted, but insects are not? What about spiders, some people have them as pets? I used to have one in a matchbox, please tell me his soul has gone to another plane.
