http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7899383.stmPeanut allergies affect one in 50 young people in the UK and commonly cause breathing problems.
Although at its most serious, it can lead to a potentially life-threatening anaphylactic shock.
....hmmm, small doses of like curing like. I wonder how long it will be before 30C peanut homeopathic remedies sugar pills are available? (with the inevitable, potentially dire, consequencies)

True, but whenever I see any article about a hopeful medical treatment, I start by skipping to the last paragraphs. If they say something like x years of additional research required, I assume the information was released as part of the requirement to be seen to be doing something, and so stay in a job for a few more years.
The only "new" treatments I'm interested in are the ones which I could expect to be offered if I happened to come down with the ailment in question today.
I hope this news is as good as it sounds. I've got some sensitivity to peanuts and just last week our daughter took an allergic reaction to sesame seeds. I'd love to be able to eat nuts again with no worries![]()
