Ahsan Tahami is - or was - a librarian of Quaid-e-Azam Library in Pakistan.
However, Tahami allegedly blasphemed in the library, witnessed by colleagues.
The Chief Librarian has now formally accused Tahami of uttering blasphemous remarks against the Holy Prophet. A formal complaint has been made under section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code, which provides for a death sentence and other punishments. The police are searching for him.
Tahami has fled from his house along with his family while the library administration continues to display posters around the library. These posters show Tahami with the title of ‘Committer of Blasphemy in the excellency of the Holy Prophet’.
Surely, a librarian's "Shhhhhhh" would have been more appropriate...

Personally I think it to be wrong to arrest this man for simply uttering a statement no matter what the content was but and this is the big but, we all have to live within the law of the country that we abide even if we feel the law is wrong and ignorance is not a defense.
