Bad luck to have left the video exactly where the meteor was going to land. I wonder whether the insurance company will claim "Act of God".

Thems not meteors. Thems Blossom Goodchilds aliens arriving a couple of Months late due to celestial leaves on the hyperspace tracks!

I have tried firefox and IE and all I get is a "visit Britain" video.

Does it really hit the video recorder?
Ogilvy the astronomer tells me the chances of that happening are a million to one!

No, it was an unintentional double meaning. What I meant was 'a video has recorded a meteor landing'. I'm not sure if anyone has ever recorded a meteor landing on film before. Even if they have, it must be rare. Sorry, you can't see it ...

Has anyone found it on/in the ground?

    (<pedant> ... in which case it would be a meteorite ... </pedant>)

    Strange.
It looks a lot slower than I would have expected. I guess the atmosphere slowed it right down.

Or it's a long way away and we are seeing it fall a great distance.

Sweden has lots of open spaces. Chances are it fell in a forest or lake somewhere far away.

What I took to be a nearby hill, on re-examination, would now appear to be clouds.
I was expecting it to land on video, instead of disappear below the horizon. My expectation influenced my perspective.

Yeah ... where was the big explosion and the animated dinosaurs running for cover?
