    Hi, Nucular.

    And welcome.

It's still early days yet, but I think we're heading in the right direction.

Not in the Interesting Ian sense though.

We used Skeptic rather than Sceptic because:

    • Skeptic is internationally recognised.
    • It gets far better results with search engine placement and search results.
    • Which leads to more incoming links etc.

Points 2+3 being the most important.

Ah, I see - that makes sense ???

I guess if II did drop by, it'd make for an interesting discussion...

    *Looks around*

Certainly looks as if everything's heading in the right direction :)

Yes that must mean it has yet another meaning.

    Hi!

Like Nucular, I followed a link from JREF (probably the same one).

I think someone linked to David Colquhoun's post earlier today.

I must go and thank them.

    Opposition? ???

I think we'd get trounced if we took the JREF on.

    We're just a more UK-centric forum.

The JREF forum seems to be having technical trouble. I can view it if I'm not logged in, but as soon as I log in I get a "There seems to have been a problem with the JREF Forum database" message.

If anyone does manage to log in successfully there, could they post something about this in Forum Help, please?

Re: Welcome to the UK-Skeptics' forum.

It's been a bit hitty-missy for the last couple of days. It's still down by the looks of it.

Database connection errors usually result in an email being generated and sent to the forum admin.

Quite odd: when logged in I can view the main index page, statistics, members lists etc, but not the sub forums or posts, which I can see if not logged in.
