    Yvette Fielding

Yvette Fielding is said to be worth £21m! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yvette_Fielding)

    Perhaps, I should be a believer ...

You know, in a somewhat obtuse leap of lateral thinking, that leads me to think of the duplicitous character that is Myleene Klass...

Presenter of Ghost Towns (famously attacking Derren Brown in the press for being a sceptic (http://freakytrigger.co.uk/ft/scienc...s-of-the-mind/ is best link I can find quickly)), yet also studying Astronomy at University (well, OU) and appearing in The Sky At Night. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myleene...nomy_and_space)

    Weirdo.

Are you sure that someone didn't ask what they were doing at University and the reply was: "I am taking up space"?

The old ones are the best

    Weirdo.
They (or rather their agents) know where the money is.

I didn't realise she'd done this, so thanks for pointing out. Gives me another reason to dislike her.

ETA: I should really get beyond first few chapters of this book in the first place.

    Yes, you really should.
It only really gets into it's sceptical-stride in the second half.
Even that can be a bit wishy-washy at times, I admit, but it's a fine read overall IMO.

About the same time as the book came out was when I really just sussed what Derren's act was all about. The fact that I didn't think I could trust a thing he said was what made me stop reading. However a lot of people have said they've enjoyed the book.
