To be fair, I guess it's the kind of profession where a long beard might go unnoticed and/or where some kind of put-on accent and vagueness about one's personal history might actually be a bonus.
If you go somewhere where people you meet are likely to believe almost anything, it's maybe not too hard to sustain a false identity.

I wish to be clear that my post was a bit tongue in cheek I wasn't really suggesting practitioners of CAM were necessarily mass murderers - it was a deliberate logical fallacy as it were.

I was thinking about that very thing while writing, *and* that a fake accent and a deliberately vague past might not be a handicap for someone doing stage magic, since deep down, everyone knows it's fake, but might still wish that it wasn't.

HAHAHA! Work of genius! That cartoon is my life!

I think it would take sociologists way longer than 4 minutes to catch on to a spoof though, because they'd be too busy thinking about whether disagreeing with you might be seen as some kind of oppression.
