Hi.......
I had a little disagreement with my mother today. She watched a programme about paranormal investigators or something similar last night. It seems Colin Fry and two others were investigating a case where a stalker killed a hairdresser,
Me old mam has always been very woosome, I don't usually confront her with my scepticism but she insisted today that these psychics "solved" this case. This is the conviction she is left with after she viewed the programme last night (she can't remember the programme name or which channel) Ok now I'm determined to dig up something on this so I can show her what a load of twonk it probably is. I've tried a few googles as to what show it was but no luck yet. Anyone help? There's a Sunday dinner (minted roast lamb) resting on this.

You can tell that psychics haven't solved a single crime, because even the psychic detective shows leave people wondering if the psychic(s) actually solved the case or not.
The show is question is probably Psychic Private Eyes, with Fry, Tracy Higgs and Tony Stockwell. Three of the biggest fakers you will ever see.
Hey thanks farside.
I just rang my mother and yes these are the culprits found here:-

Seems it's the Sally Bowman case the name rings a bell to me.
I'm going to try and get a copy of the show somehow perhaps youtube or somwhere.
Cheers

OK I just found a copy on Usenet, downloading it now.
I fancy roast potatoes and parsnips with that Lamb mother :-]

Do a search on this forum, I'm sure the Sally Bowman case has been mentioned in the threads. If not, maybe on BadPsychics.
Predictably, no psychic helped a jot with the Sally Bowman case.
Thanks and sorry it seems I've posted this in the wrong forum. If a mod wants to move it to the "Psychics" section feel free.
I haven't had the time to watch the full program yet but a cursory view of the first 10 minutes or so was quite illuminating. The mother of Sally Anne Bowman is given a reading and all the information from "the other side" is available from contemporary newspaper reports duplicated and dated at "The Croydon Guardian" web archive.
I'm going to get to grips with this in my spare time this week.

For the Sally Bowman case, you probably want to check out Joe Power(less) as well.
