    Ing-Ger-Land

OK, world cup fever is upon us :D

    Well me anyway

    So what are our chances?

    Are we going to win?

Do the Scots, northern Irish, and the Welsh support England? ???

    Does anyone care? :o

It's sport but I think it's great time to let logical fallacies and unabashed jingoism rule your brain.

    Who needs skepticism? Closed-minded eejuts!

Well we're second favourites, which is rare, so maybe.

Personally, I think not, because England are generally a bit rubbish.

Well I love to world cup. :P

I think we've got a fair chance of doing well. We've got a really good team atm.

My love, everyone I know says the exact same thing every World Cup and every Euro Championship too.

I'd be happy if we got to the finals, let alone win. 50p says we get to the semis but no further.

Set of overpaid self absorbed nancy boys who fail to deliver when challenged at a higher level.

Would not know a decent days work if it bit them on the leg.

I shall be going shopping in the deserted streets of Leeds with Mrs Aardvark

Ps, secretly, I hope they do well and make us all proud, but I am very sceptical

The streets of Glasgow are deserted because everyone's down at the pub, gazing with saucer eyes at the Big Screen World Cup Action. Quite spooky, really. Feels like the prelude to the extraterrestrial invasion...

Apparently there is loads of traffic in Surrey at the moment (I have packed hubby off out to do the chores - )

Everyone in mad mode for BBQ stuff/booze/silly hats etc; eager to get home for 2pm

It's a gorgeous sunny day - I've just got back from the park - I'm heading out there again with my kite.

It's deserted - everyone is at home or in the pub watching 22 men kick a bag of wind around - on a day like this!

    Mad people. :D

Still, it means I get the park to myself.

Well I went to the park before the match kicked off - it's bloody freezing up here believe it or not. ???

Down by the coast it's misty and windy. I had to wear a coat.

Well that was dull. We won because they screwed up. Reeeeeal victory there then.

Oh well, at least we won.

Yup - at least we won....

First half not too bad - second half (preparing the salad was far more stimulating )

We set off at 2.00pm to do some shopping, all roads were quiet, city centre was quiet

When we got back to our favourite local butcher he had sold out of every home made sausage, burger, kebab, you name it. They are going to have to work on Sunday to make up enough stuff for Monday and to restock their own freezer.

Grteat Butcher though, even knows the farms where his meat is reared, I dare say he knows the names of the actual cows and pigs he sells

We had to have BBQ Salmon and what meat we had in the freezer
