    Homeopathic acupuncture.

I've just finished reading the Simon Singh/Edzard Ernst book "Trick or Treatment". It really is very good, and the section on the placebo effect is distinctly powerful.

Whatever. I intend to offer readers of this wonderful forum homeopathic acupuncture with herbal overtones, for a very reasonable fee. I am afraid I am unqualified to offer chiropractic.

Anyway, the acupuncture needles are so fine, you can't actually see them, but your skin will "remember" the experience of them not being there, and not actually perforating your skin to a non-existent depth.

After the treatment (£250), you get a nice cup of belladonna mixed with appetising warfarin. Mmmmm.

Just send me a PM. You can come to me for free. Or I will come to you for a small () fee.

    You know it makes sense.

Yes, of course. It's a pro-negative obsiquescent discount of 2.00. pluralist percent.

    Can you not grasp that?

This sounds wonderful, and I'd like to take you up on your kind offer. Is it ok if I pay with homeopathic cash?

To the untrained eye it might look like blank pieces of paper, but they've actually been in close proximity to real money, shaken about umpteen times and then separated from the original moolah. Somehow they retain a very special 'molecular memory' of proper currency.

    Honest.

    It really, really works.

By that logic, are believers really "homeopathic sceptics"?
