Does anyone know of any sceptical groups in the North of England?
Just travelled down from York to London to see "An Evening with James Randi and Friends" (which was fantastic by the way) but it did strike me that the UK organisation seems to be focused towards the London area.
If anyone knows of anything - or if not if anyone in the York area wants to get involved in setting something up, please let me know.
I think you'll find these two resources very helpful in tracking down a place of interest closer to home.

Hope that helps!
North of England? That would be Scotland ...
Bunny, I live in York and I think it would be great to have a sceptics group!
I am liaising with John Jackson (site moderator) to see who else might be interested. If you (or anyone else reading this) knows of anyone interested, please get in touch with me or John. So far we seem to be focusing on the corridor between York and Newcastle but this might spread if others wish to join in. A sort of "Skeptics in the pub". Be in touch.
Please count me in on this one.
Thanks meercat, we have a few people interested and so I am sure we will get something together.
Sounds interesting - please let me know if anything is arranged.
I was actually talking about this very subject with sid (sadluxation) when I was "dahn sowf". I mentioned there was nothing like skeptics in the pub in the northwest , he suggested I start one. I think its a great idea, it does seem a bit "Londoncentric". Perhaps if we gather enough interest there would be plenty of people here to volunteer services etc to get it started.![]()
Im based in Liverpool.
