I thought it looked interesting. You would certainly think it was paranormal if it was recorded when science and medical knowledge wasnt around =D. He reminds me of a super hero, with the most useless power in the world. The power of photosynthesis!
HPV virus gone wild.
i thought he was one of davy jones men of pirate of the carabean flims when i first saw the ad,,i just could not belive that could be real,
Yea is difficult. At least they know the background medical information.
I saw a documentary on this sad case before Christmas. Some American doctors were trying to find out what the problem was - something to do with the white blood cells, if I remember correctly.
The man found he could make more money appearing in a sort of "Freak Show" than doing a normal day's work. The promoters were happy making money displaying people with deformities of other kinds.
Different values?
Regarding "different values", we should remember that there were freak shows in this country until a few decades ago.
Poor fellow.
We had a thread on this a while back.

Sorry. I did search the form for a similar topic but had no luck in finding it either. Do you think he counts it as a blessing (it has brought him fame and fortune)? Had he lived as a normal man I doubt he would have had as much money and been as finacially secure (which is a very important thing in a country like indonesia).
Channel 5's Extraordinary People program was on this guy just the other night. I have it on tape, I believe.
Will watch it sometime soon, I very much hope.
I did see the first 5 minutes and he certainly didn't come across as counting it as a blessing. He appeared very shy, and confused & slightly traumatised by what was happening to him. He only appeared in the circus shows because he could no longer perform any other kind of work and he had a family to support.
