    TV prog

I am filming for Australian Sky Discovery this weekend at a reputedly haunted castle case of mine in the lakes. I dont know if it will ever come this way - but hey, if a really good-looking, slim, tall handsome researcher comes on the telly one day - its not me (rotund, short, and hairy might be more accurate....)

Anyway, i wanted to mention that they were quite good with my demands (no not a chef for my pet lizard) - just that all i said i would do is a sit-down interview to camera, or a walk through of the castle telling them of the scientific theories for experiences in the rooms (plus a full explanation of the MADS). I did not think they would go for it - they usually bring a smoke machine

It could be a good sign of the tables turning in the direction of common sense (its about the third or forth one this year that has agreed to do it this way - when typically they decline). I do hope it is a trend.....

Now, what irrational star demands should I make.......(now gets delusions of grandeur.....)

I'm rather concerned at the treatment of your lizard. >:( In fact, I'm offended.

Seriously though, it does sound good that the media, from anywhere, are more prepared to look at a scientific way of presenting programmes or the science behind the latest research.

I think that the MADS system is a big step forward with investigating 'haunted' locations and just because it's scientific shouldn't detract from its media worthiness.

Do paranormal beliefs run is cycles (like other fads)? Perhaps we're in for a spell of rationalism?

Can I be your manager? 8) 10% and all that

Be prepared for some creative editing, although one would assume you would be able to view the footage pre-broadcast ???

    Well, what can I say.....

It all went well, apparently it will be edited and broadcast in about 6 months time. Nice crew - knew what they wanted and spent some time dealing with the science of magnetics and brain - although how much reaches the final edit we will have to see (usually a nano-second). Despite saying how 'scientific' they were they still showed up with a smoke machine :D.

I said if you use that near me I will either (i) shove it up your bum place (thanks teek), or (ii) start singing Meatloaf songs in the gravyard

Luckily, they declined coming near me with it. I dont have Sky but its is for Discovery and a prog I think is called "Beyond Tomorrow" (a bit like our tomorows world?). The best bit was - I finished filming in the castle at around 11:30pm and they said they had finished with me and needed no more....early the next morning (5am) I was on the road heading for Brum, they phoned at 10:00am asking for more information / interviews - fat chance....I was 200 miles away.

Edit - John, offended again??? are you sure you are not a woo that has been sent here to find out more about a secret skeptic society???? 8)

    Yes, definitely offended.

I'm really a new-age guru who's out to rid the world of skeptics.

I don't have sky so we'll need someone to record it and hopefully make a few copies for us.
