Hi
I have a creationist book entitled 'A Matter of Days', (author - Hugo Ross) signed by the Bad Astronomer, Phil Plait
Due to moving house, I am getting rid of a lot of old books and stuff......
However, I dont want this to end up in the hands of a pro-creationist
it is signed on page 7:
To Peter
don't believe everything you read
Phil Plait
Jan 2005
I am not asking for any money (though something to cover postage would be appreciated).
I would like this to go to someone who
a) is not a creationist
b) is interested in the subject
c) wont just sell it on straight away
I'll look back here tomorrow morning and - if too many people want it, I'll draw a name out of a hat and put the winners name in the thread.
Pete
I think the signature would probably be the only readable part of that book. Its nice that you want it to go to a good home though![]()
Why not donate it to the JREF scholarship auction?
Or even UK-Skeptics!!
What's the history Pete?
Why did Phil Plait sign a book on creationism?
.
The B A was sent the book as a PR stunt by the author.
He auctioned it on the JREF site as part of a money raising effort a couple of years back. That was about the same time I parted company with the jref and - i think - before teek came on the scene.
I will happily donate it to the UK skeptics.
send me an address and I'll get it in the post
Peter
I think I joined JREF in June 05. I guess you still lurk there though cause you know I'm called Teek![]()
