    Chromatherapy

You probably all know about this but it is new to me. I was browsing about and I came across this

    http://www.trendir.com/archives/001298.html

which is pretty enough, Then I noticed in the blurb

Finally you can enjoy the ultimate in chromatherapy by allowing refreshing white, soothing blue, calming amber, motivational red, peaceful green and warm white to wash away your daily stressors
    Wiki says

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromotherapy

Is there any truth in this whatsoever?

That wiki link seems a bit woo.

I watched a TV program (yes, the greatest of educators) a long time ago on the effect of wall colour on gaol prisoners. As I remember, blue calmed and red aggravated.
However when I googled it seems the opposite may be true.
Blue/green seems more calming to me though.

Here is a short article http://www.quackwatch.org/01Quackery...s/spectro.html

The Wiki article, as is often the case for quackery, is dominated by quacks.

I can imagine shining coloured light where you can see it could have a slight effect on mood, depending on what experiences you associate with that colour, shining coloured light on the bottom of your spine, that just seems crazy. I wonder if the author will ever manage a citation for the claimed scientific basis.
