I have put a clip up on my site of Criss Angel performing psychic surgery.
http://badpsychics.com/thefraudfiles...hp?storyid=581
The clip itself I thought was a rather powerful message, and although quite graphic i think it gets the point across.
I am sure you have seen the James Randi clips of psychic surgery on my site, which although technically superior, i think Criss, Banachek etc get the message across better that this is a very evil practice committed by frauds.
In the UK the main practitioner of this fraud is Stephen Turoff, a man i personally dispise
I would imagine steven turoff is with BUPA then? :-\
That was a pretty good video... thanks for sharing.
One of the scariest "psychic" surgeons I have read about is John of God... the charlatan from South America that has quite a following because he mixes religion in with the "psychic" aspect. If I am not mistaken, he was supposedly going to be touring the US, at one time. Crazy...
Excellently done to prove once again, that all those people out there claiming to be healers and psychics are frauds! Thanks for sharing this with us.
John of God also scared me. He is for sure anti-Christ.. I saw his interview on CNN. Once again people are flocking from all over the USA and the world to attend his 'meetings'.
There is none as blind as he who refuses to see.......![]()
His CNN program was a publicity vehicle for him, it was not critical at all. Randi has noted his disgust at this program. I have had the misfortune to speak with someone who has visited John of God to be healed. I am in an awkward position really. If I tell this person what I know their perceived placebo effect will wear off very quickly. If I dont tell them, they may have a terminal illness and no longer take the appropriate medication and die.
If they have a real illness, the placebo effect won't be much help anyway, whether you tell them or not.
Perhaps try persuading them to go and get it checked out by claiming it would help you and many others to understand and possibly believe it if there was clear medical evidence that he did something for them.
That way, you ensure they see proper health professionals, they get to believe they can prove one-up on the doubters, and they will be shown definite evidence of something they need help with 'if' John of God did nothing to help after all.
Yeah, but you see Its on a believer forum, and Ive been banned before simply for opening my mouth (yeah they are like that) I seem to be affecting a real change there now by just supplying alternate (realistic) perspective on some of the stories I am reading. I have gathered a few supporters, although at times I feel like a christian in a roman arena surrounded by toothless lions.
If I force him to accept John is shite (of god not jackson) then I am probably looking at another ban for destroying someones dreams and beliefs, (I absolutely respect someones beliefs no matter how much I disagree with them apparantly :-\ )
I have even contacted an admin about this before opening my gob, because I could forsee (ha million dollar prize heading my way) exacty what would transpire if I did say something. To be honest, I doubt this person would pay any attention to my points anyway. You have to be extremely desperate or severly deluded to visit a faith healer anyway.
But, I am saying you don't need to 'force' him to see anything. If you advised that medical evidence of this healing would be worth a lot to him, and the world, then he may be cornered into seeking medical opinion. He'll think he's going to prove his case, maybe get rich with the story of his healing, and you get the peace of mind that he has sought help.
I am not suggesting you do it in a confrontational way - rather as friendly advice that he can perceive as trying to convince the world of this healing power.
I had a word, supplied my evidence constructed a good argument against. He ignored me utterly. Turns out he had a "long distance healing" and there wasnt anything wrong with him anyway. I despair honestly.![]()
If he really had nothing wrong with him, his long distance healing will work well. I think he chose the ideal treatment with least side-effects for that condition.
