    Is your house haunted?

Forget those amateurs at ASSAP, there's a definitive, scientific test here: http://www.gm.tv/apps/quiz/interactivequiz27339.htm

It's devised by "Experienced ghosthunter Derek Acorah" so its integrity is guaranteed.

See, this stuff is easy when done by the professionals!

Bloody hell. My house is haunted.

Well, maybe you are right... I mean ... it is the famed researcher and complete non-fake Mr Acorah we are talking about.

And his own personal words of calm before taking the test definitely reassured me.

    Sorry - can't do it.

    Re: Is your house haunted?

I answered "No" to all but one of the questions - the one about batteries going flat (some rechargeables are better than others), and got this message...

Things are definitely going bump in the night! You could well be experiencing spirit visitation. Try to identify things which you recognise, like scents or smells, to enable you to identify the caller. Keep an open mind - the visitor could try and contact you at any time.

    Re: Is your house haunted?

Derek wants to say a few words: "Please enjoy the quiz, but remember, that in the majority of cases where people hear or sense a spirit presence there is no need for fear as the presences will be friends or family members who have passed to the spirit world and who are in visitation through the links of friendship and love".
    I'm intrigued now!

What is it we have to worry about in the minority of cases then? ???

Evil spirits, demons, malevolent entities that want to suck the life out of you......

Same as Bindweede - only question I answered 'yes' was the one about seeing things out of the corner of my eye - I only answered yes because there wasn't the proviso '... that you know are not a result of tiredness or lighting effects'. And guess what? My house is haunted!

You live in a haunted house! There is a very good chance that your house is not what it seems, and there is a spirit person is trying to contact you...

As long as Im not naked and covered in lard inside my leather cupboard, molesting myself to my thora hird image collection when it does Im fine with that.

Actually, I answered the batteries going flat one too. ???

It's my rechargeable batteries. Sometimes I leave them charging for ages but when I go to use them they're flat!

I don't know how or why this happens but I've seen this mentioned in paranormal investigation reports (fully charged batteries going flat) - of course, in such reports, this is 'evidence' of paranormal activity!

A spirit is an energy vacuum john, they are a universal power adapter too. They can drain batteries, people and practically anything with a charge to manifest themselves. Ofcourse how they do this is unknown, also why they do this is unknown, also what they are comprised of and why it would need an electrical charge is unknown etc etc etc

    energies and vibrations my arse.

    Re: Is your house haunted?

That faint crying sound is me!

I did the same as the rest of you, answering yes to only one (!). I think it's a good guess that ANY answer other than 'No' to all will give the 'haunted' result.

It is difficult to define when a house is haunted. In reality, the most important test is if the occupant THINKS it is haunted, for whatever reason.

Wow - I could well be experiencing spirit visitation. Just because my senile old cat mews and stares at nothing. And there was me blaming his medication. I know better now

    Re: Is your house haunted?

Tried it again, answering "No" to all - but there could still be a presence I am not "attuned "to.

You're not haunted! It looks like you're not experiencing any direct spirit visitation at the moment. Having said that, there may be a presence which you are simply not attuned to, or which has not manifested itself yet...

    Re: Is your house haunted?

Hmmm. So now my house is haunted just because I bought some crappy cheap Chinese batteries that went flat before I used them.

That'll teach me to be such a tightwad.

NiMH rechargeables self-discharge at anything up to 3% per day, depending on temperature. Nothing paranormal about it, I'm afraid.
