I hope you understand that none of the above provides any evidence for an afterlife. It merely depicts your own journey and personal questions (interesting - but not science and not evidence).

Be careful how you use the word 'evidence'.

Just a small thing - if you were dreaming, why shouldn't you dream of pinching yourself? I often dream all sorts of physical activities that, if they really happened, should wake me up but they never do. I think the 'pinch test' is great in theory but in reality is quite useless!

Could be useful to turn the dream lucid though?

The transcript is in Word form consisting of 5 condensed pages as the session was a 30 minutes reading, similar to a follow-up with the same medium 9 months later. I would have to send it as an attachment with the post?? Is that feasible?

Yes, I'm aware of that. It is for that very reason that I presented the word 'evidence' in single quotes.

I'm afraid I have neither the materials nor technical know-how to do that! Just an old-fashioned cassette tape.

You could upload the .txt file to a filesharing website like http://rapidshare.com/ and give us the link. Failing that copy the bulk of the text and paste it onto a new image in your art program. Save the image as a .JPEG in Paint shop pro, photoshop etc, and upload that image to http://imageshack.us/ etc.

A condensed version is useless - condensed by what criteria? The hits?

Oh good grief, Dr B ! Perhaps that was the wrong word. By condensed I mean packed into the pages as it's quite lengthy, (not abridged or summarised or anything like that) - it's word for word, and unambiguously direct and to the point, no waffle or 'cold reading' either.

simple answer to the real or not question lock anyone who claims to have psychic powers in an airtight room with a numerical keypad and see if they can predict the combination before the air runs out LOL

Can we nominate people to undertake this test?

I was rather surprised and bemused to receive a pm from a member (not staff) intimating that my recent (and first) post on this thread was not appropriate discussion material for a forum of this nature.
Conversely, I had thought this precisely the area in which to introduce an interesting and debatable exchange of such nature. However, I humbly apologise for dipping my toe into what is clearly unwelcome waters and bid ye all a (rather reluctant) farewell.

In response to the pm's received from another member: I am most grateful for your valuable contribution and suggestions; sent in the nature of a true sceptic/skeptic -(which, after all, pm sender no.1, is not this forum all about?) but with respect to the foregoing perhaps all judgements should be reserved for the present.

Another time, another place, perhaps, pm sender no. 2 ? Who know ... our paths may very possibly cross again - but in a more suitable and appropriate venue.

    Respectfully,

    Nasib (Arabic, meaning 'Fate')

Can you tell me more about this? PM me.

This forum is indeed the place to discuss such issues and I was very much looking forward to reading the transcript of your reading.

It's very rare for someone to be so open and provide such information.

This forum actively welcomes debate on such issues.

If someone has told you otherwise then please provide me with the details so I can look into this.

Yeah, I dont mind what you post really. You only stated why you believe in something, I see no harm in that. By discussing what you believe we can determine your stance on the subject, however by discussing why you believe it tends to be more interesting for me.

You are welcome to post your views, that is the nature of this forum.
