    Locked threads

    Hello all

You may have noticed some ‘admin muscle’ being flexed on the two threads surrounding the delusions of one “not-so-psychic-psychic claimant”. It is my current personal view that those threads have run their course and have nothing left to offer either those involved in them, or those following the debate. Unlike the magical world of the Woo-Forum – we do not edit or remove posts – but leave the debate, in its entirety for all to see. We do not like to stifle debate – but encourage it. However, successful debate between adults can only proceed if all parties, at the very least, remain honest in their reporting of demonstrable facts. It is interesting to see some posters only contributing to the threads that are about themselves!

If you think I have been harsh then send me a PM or discuss it here and I will consider ‘releasing’ this beast of a thread back on you all…..

I agree that both of those threads had run their course, and a while ago too. Personally, I don't think you have been harsh at all - if anything, I would say extremely patient.

Same here, we need to remember this forum is not just about her, although it was entertaining while it lasted.

I concur with your prognosis Dr B, very wise.

Good move. Feel free to lock this one too (Split from psychicsarah thread). Not one of my finer moments, really don't need it dragged up again. But I leave it up to you.

    Really??

    Interesting

I would say there has been some serious intimidation and bullying going on...quite insidious actually...but then you haven't been on the receiving end of it...I seem to recall being told to p**** O** not so long ago

    ------------

Oh and it is not possible to delete on here anyway; so not sure why that is included as important in Dr B's 'grand' statement....

Having said that I am grateful for the closure of some of those threads...So long as they are still there for public viewing and that the dates and times are still clearly on display

    In the interests of research

    Who is 'she'...the cat's mother?

    --------

Some of YOU made it about me...I just put the info up re Madeleine in the hope that it would be read and lead to 'her' being found

I did not make this personal YOU did....with respect.

    Gosh...who could you possibly mean?

It wouldn't be that 'someone' is attempting to counter balance the bullying, accusations and derorgatory comments which challenge her integrity would it?

    Mmmm....

I personally am VERY open to adult discussion and debate (I came onto this board voluntarily if you recall)......it is just that I haven't found much of it on here...

Instead I have been diagnosed with personality disorders, told to P*** O*** and called a liar at every available opportunity (Some of you even pointed out that I had been treated very harshly)

You think you have open scientific minds? I wish you did...re this matter....

The reality is ...this is has just been a clash of the way minds work; rather than a 'meeting of minds'.

And no please do NOT open those threads again..

I am more than happy to contribute to discusions elsewhere so long as the personal asides and patronising comments stop..

As I said many of YOU made this personal...I didn't...I was simply defending my talent and integrity when it was challenged.

That is my right as a person..

It would appear you have neither talent nor integrity, (unless your talent is lying to make yourself seem correct after the fact).

    Re: Locked threads

The problem with locking threads is certain posters, let's not be specific, can make specious allegations of bullying whilst the (lack of) evidence of said bullying drops off page one and can never be bumped back for reference.

I've had a think and am now agin the locking of threads unless the debate has turned really nasty. It all seems a little proscriptive to me, especially as the power to lock threads rests with a select few and they all seem to be one one "side."

My view is it is better to let threads live or die on their own; if a subject has become stale then members won't post on it, but they make that decision themselves rather than having it imposed (I realise that Dr B did ask the question before closing the threads). If a discussion really has gone off-topic then the whole thread could be moved to somewhere more suitable.
