What do people think of that TV programme 'Numbers'? I watched it recently, expecting it to be just another dumb cop show, but I was quite impressed. They introduce surprisingly sophisticated scientific ideas that would normally only get an airing in a science programme that hardly anyone would watch. Whether these ideas would work to solve crime, I've really no idea.
Yes I know the title is spelt that way. Even Ridley Scott makes mistakes!
I was moderately amused by it to begin with. But then they had an episode with a psychic, who ended up with a signed 'certificate' from the FBI stating that he had helped solve a case. Plus the supposed physics professor was coming out with the sort of drivel that the Woo brigade use. Rather lost interest after that.
I haven't got that far yet - doesn't sound too promising though ...![]()

It is still watchable, but you do tend to wonder how relevant all the mathematical wibbling is. And how accurate.
