Logical fallacies

I searched for a thread to post this, but didn't manage to find what I thought was the correct one. Several weeks ago, I came across a site which listed the 25 most common fallacies in thinking. (Well, I think it was 25). I'm pretty sure it was an American skeptic site. I meant to print the article, but got side-tracked and forgot. Now, of course, I can't find the site, even though I've done a search.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? It is an area I need to read up on. Also, how many logical fallacies are there? Is it the sort of thing where someone comes up with a new one every week or so?

I've just finished reading 'Why People Believe Weird Things' by Michael Shermer, one of the chapters is '25 Fallacies That Lead Us To Believe Weird Things'. Tried typing this into the ever delightful and helpful Google and found this website: -

I'd also recommend the book if you haven't read it. Some points I disagree on, some are making me think, which can only be a good thing!

Thank you. Yes, I read "Weird Things" earlier this year. I have literally just found it upstairs after doing some decorating - you know, when you move things to where you will be able to find them, but then you can't.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the page I was looking for. As usually happens, I will probably stumble across it when I'm not actually looking for it. There is probably some Latin phrase for accidentally stumbling across something you were especially looking for some time previously. The Boss could well come up with it.

Welcome, by the way. I have become addicted to this place over the last few months. I hope you find it stimulating.
