Is it any wonder religion is becoming a 'bad' word.

I hate to be so cynical and I dont justify this in the least. but I think we need to understand that these people are usually very poor and dispossessed for some reason or another. Its very common in South Asia generally.

I see. I only saw the word Monks and Scam. It never occurred to me that they might really be in need of the hand-outs. If you read it, it says 60 Monks arrested, I assumed they were playing some kind of scam and got caught.
