Observational comedians base their humour on the commonplace but often silly things we do - it's funny because it's true! - so, things like belief in the healing power of magic water (a.k.a. homeopathy) are a rich supply of material for them.
The ability to take the absurd things we do and believe and look at them through humour goes some way to explaining why so many comedians seem to be skeptical: they take irrational beliefs and simply look at them factually!
