I couldn't imagine life without my wireless broadband connection. I mean, apart from the fact that the internet is always on and always fast, I can sit with the laptop in bed and browse or hang around in chat rooms, and I can take my WiFi gaming habit to the toilet with me (not that I'd do that...).

Even my mum has broadband now, and I don't think I actually know anyone still using dial-up, but they must be out there somewhere!

So come on folks, fess up. Are you a techno-savvy super fast broadband fan or still chugging away on dial-up? And you are still on dial-up, how do you find it handles modern websites?

It's not just me that takes the laptop to bed then! :D

I've got broadband with a wireless router which is great as several people can use the internet at the same time. Plus, I can wander all over the house and take the laptop around with me.

So, I'm a BIG broadband (and internet) fan. O0

I don't know how I'd manage with dial up these days. ???

Cable broadband since '98 and could never go back...

Don't have wireless, partially because of security issues that I couldn't be bothered to sort out but mostly because I play a lot on an online game - despite what the box says wireless is utterly useless for serious games. So I've wired the house up and have a large hub stashed away

Wi-Fi broadbeans for me too.

Laptops in bed seem to be the new black.

My sister has dial up.

Mind you, she's got a 10 year old computer that I used to have, and I got it 3rd hand. She only uses it for email and doing her NVQ coursework. She is almost totally computer illiterate. When I gave her the computer I had to teach her how to do even the most basic things.

Commercial Broadband connection, routers, mailservers and webservers wired and wireless networks, 24 bit digital protection with all sorts of alarms and monitoring doohickeys. In fact every damn thing a 15 year old boy could possibly hook up to the bl**dy world.

Oh my and lecky bill is huge!!!!!!!!! :'(

I very rarely access the internet at home - I spend too much time on it when I'm at work as it is :(

However, when I do, I still use dial-up. This is not out of preference - it just isn't important enough to me at present to be bothered with spending the time and money setting it up differently. I'll get round to it one day - maybe when the kids are older and really need it ...
