Looks like there are some beliefs so daft that even the church is saying "Sod this -- only an idiot would believe this stuff!".

I am going to a "family do" this evening and since my wife in a catholic from Northern Ireland, I will ask the priest what view his view is on this. (An atheist married to a Catholic has resulted in an interesting marriage but that's another story).
