I found references to a programme called Psychic Detectives, where DL apparently "saw" the murder of Muriel Drinkwater in 1946, and I've seen the actual programme on YouTube. But I cannot find out when it was made, nor even the channel it was made for. Does anyone have any info about it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I had seen that before. And also visited DL's website. And, as I say, I've seen the programme itself on YouTube. But none of these sources gives me the answer to either question: when the programme was made, and who the makers were.

Thanks anyway.

Well IMDB has an imcomplete episode guide for psychic detectives - all the episodes are listed but the details are sporadic. Without those details I can't tell you which episode it was. Episode guides accross the web are similarly deficient.

All I can ssay is that it would ahve been first broadcast between 2005 and 2007

However the production comapies and distributors are listed

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460670/companycredits

They may be able to give you more information if you approach them directly.

Chilzero who wrote the article I referenced, posts here and on the JREF forums (http://forums.randi.org) quite regularly - she may have more info.

I think there is a confusion here. The link you gave is to an American series called Psychic Detective, which can be dated to 2005 and later. But the YouTube video is either a British programme of the same name, or else, as I suspect, an item in a local news programme. The story is from Swansea, the presenter has a strong Welsh accent, and DL herself is Welsh. So maybe it was some programme called "Wales Today" or some such thing.

The problem is that this programme does not tell us at the start how much DL knew when she was taken to the scene. Did they tell her it was a murder case? Did they say it was a young girl? Did they even tell her the name? We don't know. But if you're right that it was made in 2005/6 then she knew everything without being told, since there is evidence DL had been looking into the case as far back as 2003. So that's why knowing the date of the programme is quite critical.

I must confess I didn't actually watch the You Tubes.

It appears that Living TV have a show called Psychic Detective (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0437742/companycredits)too.

Though that appears to be about Tony Stockwell

http://badpsychics.com/thefraudfiles/modules/news/article.php?storyid=66

There also appears to be a Show Called Psychic Investigators in which Diane Lazarus appears

http://www.biography.com/psychic_investigators/pi_episode_guide.jsp?episode=216308

But his refers to an unrelated case.

That's as far as my Google Fu will take me.

Thanks for the imdb link. I missed that one. It looks like there is Psychic Detective programme made in the UK, and it's probably the one Diane Lazarus was involved with, though she isn't listed as one of the psychics. But the 2004 date makes it almost certain that she was fully aware of the case before she went to the scene with the TV crew. The impression given is that she knew nothing, but it's clear she knew everything. The whole thing was an elaborate sham. She pretended to "see" details about the Muriel Drinkwater case on the spot that in fact she had been aware of for years.
