I find this "gold tooth miracle" stuff very interesting. A couple of years ago my local happy-clappy church claimed that dozens of attendees had had fillings turned to gold during a service. Having been mocked and challenged for evidence they said they would produce statements from dentists and suchlike. Eventually they went quiet without ever producing any evidence.

I assume that it isn't entirely lying and hoax; that some of these people really believe that a miracle has occured. If a person can fail to notice that they already had gold in their mouth before turning up at church what else is going on in their head? It is a good example of people believing the daftest things.

Astonishingly one of my back teeth has become a gold tooth and it happened just around the corner from the happy-clappy church. In the dentists.
