Hi, all the Skeptics!
I want you to help me in my research work.My tutor has said me to compare concepts of the word yellow in the English and in the Russian languages (it's psycholinguistics). But I haven’t got many acquaintances whose native language is English. (I'm from Ukraine). I need 100 answers minimum! :( Help me please if English is your native language.

The assignment is very easy: you should find words (nearly 5 examples), which to your mind are connected with the word YELLOW and put near each word combination plus (+) if it is positive for you, or minus (-) if it is negative for you, or zero (0) if it is neutral for you.
For example: YELLOW chicken +
YELLOW................

PS: I wonder whether the difference between anwers of skeptics and non-skeptics is. I compare it also!

Oh, my research happened to be unpredictable! Today I've finished digesting answers although I've still 48 ones.
I've found out a lot of new: the English custard is yellow (Russian one is brown and mustard as well), there is not such a statement as yellow peril in Russain, but all the nations know yellow submarine. There are many other differences but for summing up I must finish my gathering.
If somebody has another ideas they will be very useful for me!

May just be another of those amusing "Same name, different products". Even without that though, 'custard' can technically be used for any form of milk\cream mixture thickened with eggs.

The pudding custard is more properly known as creme anglais and the Birds custard is just an abomination ;)

Custard is the Pink Cartoon cat from a childrens TV programme called either "Roobarb" or "Roobarb and Custard"

Roobarb is the yellowy green dog.

The names Roobarb and Custard refer to the a dessert dish of Rhubarb and Custard I understand to have been particularly popular in the UK when food rationing was still in effect after WWII. I can't stand rhubarb myself. Stringy, nasty, bitter muck that gets caught between your teeth.

Yes, it's really 100 :'( By this moment I have 65. But I've cheated in a way. For ex, Bobdezon, your answers and Zero's I count twice, cause you answered twice. ZERO, the russian people also say that it is hard, but russian is not problem for me, as I live in the russian-speaking region. English... it's a problem...
