If it's a meteorite why is there no crater, given the size of the 'object'?
If it's a UFO, that's the worst landing I've seen outside of Flight Simulator X!

If that was a meteorite, the explosion would have huge. I can't think of an alternative explanation. Is this being reported for the first time? If so, why?

On second viewing, the trajectory of the thing seems unusual. How can it land at that speed and not make an impact crater? Funny how these events always happen in the USA.

This is "Case Tape 347" mockumentary by Kyle Rankin & Efram Potelle from Newborn Pictures. It's their business card. Have been shown in several sci-fi and fantasy movie festivals since 2005. The so-called sheriff phone number is Mr.Potelle one at Los Angeles,CA. Kyle Rankin(Scott) and Karen Zumsteg(Jennifer) are both alive and still acting in independent features.

It definitely amused me! But as janot suggested, I wondered why the ufo was a heap of stuff on the surface of the road, rather than at the bottom of a crater. And then the green alien jumps out .......;D

I think it was very well done, and the acting was totally convincing. But if the video camera had been found, then presumably it was near the lump of crud, and this might have caused a bigger news story.

But why do it?

It is a composite film. They probably used adobe after effects. Its a very simple process. They have made several errors in this piece. I would have colour matched the impact debris myself instead of having it black. Also one would have to ask why this imact wasnt tracked by norad and investigated. Why is the tacoma sheriffs department posting this on youtube when if it was real would be investigated by the more clandestine elements of the government?

100% fake.
