Psychics can tell me all about myself, so you say! But you can't if I remain silent why is that?
Why do I have to answer your questions in order for you to tell me what I have experenced.
You talk to the dead and yet you need me to confirm it...Why? Put simple your talking to them not me!
Is there a person in your family that has died, that thier name began with an A,M,or D. I am getting this person was a close relative of sort's, and really loved you. You call it channeling, but I call it flushing
something. Lets look at John Edwards shall we.Whyall the questions and the need to confirm this
conversation that he is having with the dead. This stupid way of thinking tears people hearts out
when they have lost someone. So why do they do this, people still show up on these Idiots door.

Good question. I fear that there will always be a market for telling people what they want to hear.
The more widely we circulate the truth about the cynical tricks practised by mediums like John Edward, the better. That is the kind of thing which this website is all about O0

Seeing your cartoon vbloke, made me remember this one I had in my comp.
I find the question of why people keep believing in these people very interesting.

I found this link (http://www.newsmonster.co.uk/content/view/133/72/) in another forum. The author, Danny Penman is a journalist for the Daily Mail who was apparently sent to find out more about the psychic medium Sally Morgan.
He writes about what she told him and how astounded he was and something else which interested me is this: "My first reaction to the psychic reading was one of fear - I suddenly remembered all of my ‘sins' and expected instant divine retribution."
I'm just wondering if that fear he mentions is fairly universal during these readings and whether that is partly what keeps people going back. Can anyone follow my line of thought? :)

I doubt fear has anything to do with people showing for the alleged psychic ability. People can't let go and are
hoping there loved is with them and watching over them. And there isn't anything wrong with that hope or faith when
it bring's comfort. But your not going to find that hope, faith, or comfort from a psychic, these people are charging hundrens of dollars for 20 minutes.

I don't think I've ever read of a response like that to a psychic reading before. I understand that people who thought they were skeptical beforehand, or who believed it but had not yet (until that reading) had "proof" of the power of a psychic reading can react like that later. It happens when they have had some time to reflect, and reassess what they thought they knew about themselves.
I certainly never had anyone react like that when I read for them - there was surprise at the accuracy, and sometimes they seemed to feel a little unsettled when they think that you can read every thought or motivation they have ever had. I never had anyone mention a reaction like that above, nor did I encounter this in the conversations I have had with others since.
However, what may be related, is that I have had conversations with Catholics who speak of a similar fear when talking to their priests - even outside confessional.

But aren't psychics and witches denounced as agents of the devil in the Bible? Surely if you're visiting one your past sins are the least of your problems, it's the current one you should be worrying about. And in any case, I thought god was already supposed to know everything about you, including your sins, so to expect himi to suddenly do something about it just because a "psychic" is there seems rather an odd reaction. Not that I really expect believers in pyschics and religion to be anything other than odd.

That's interesting.
There's the question of authority and authentication. Obviously, religious people see their church's ministers as authentic authorities so I can understand people reacting that way - just like a worker may be a very confident person in social situations but feel a twang of fear when their boss walks into the office.
I imagine that those who see psychics as a genuinely authentic authority would feel the same way towards them as a catholic may to their priest.
Anyway, good point, and something to think about. O0
