The MOD has released details of remote viewing tests it carried out in 2002

People failed to correctly guess the contents of envelopes. One 'viewer' even fell asleep while trying to do so ;D

Isn't it amazing how the claims of psychic ability manage to persist even enough to get the military to take them seriously enough to spend money testing it?

Had they not heard of project Stargate where the US military spent $20,000,000 to come to the conclusion that none of this works?

How many times does something have to fail tests for people to realise that it just doesn't work?

I don't think it's a waste of money if there was a chance there might be something in it. After all, anything that could help with defence is worth a shot and that's a drop in their budget's ocean really.

I'm just glad they discovered there was nothing to it before sending any psychics out to detect landmines :D

Just laughing, I wouldn't really want psychics to blow up. They are such an opportunity to mock, it's probably therapeutic for them to exist :)

They'd probably have those Sniffex (http://www.randi.org/jr/2007-02/022307sniffex.html#i1) devices to help them. No worries there then! ;D

I believe that is was common practice in days of old to send cattle into minefields.

Perhaps this would be a more ecologically valid experiment as it would certainly provide more of a focus than bloody zener cards ;D
