Still, cheaper than an NHS prescription, for those who still have to pay for them.

And I wonder what this is supposed to cure.....

And don't forget moonlight, the Great Wall of China, Thunderstorm, light from the planet Venus, shipwreck, the Stanton Drew Stone Circle, housefly, antimatter, peregrine falcon, mobile phone radiation...

Plenty listed here (http://www.hpathy.com/provings/), including one made from a condom (http://www.hominf.org/rubber/rubframe.htm).

Ah, but remember, we are assured by homoeopaths that the remedies won't work unless they have been properly individualised to the patient's symptoms, for which they usually charge around £60.

I also found "Goldfish" (aww!) Pigs Scabies (urghh) and cat ovaries.

I wonder if people who accept homeopathy actually realise where some of the "remedies" come from. Not just nice herby-werbies.

No joke.

But then house dust used to be extracted in water, dialysed, filtered and then sold as an injectable allergen desensitising vaccine. ???

The Stanton Drew stone circle? Chipping bits off for medicinal purposes sounds very much like vandalism to me! >:-)

Eye of newt anyone?

Since the end products are indistinguishable from water, I wonder if the suppliers are not a teensy-weensy bit tempted to cut out the middle man and avoid having to mess about with Pigs Scabies etc...

Who could say? ^-^

It's the method of dilution that worries me. The high dilutions are automated by sucking out the contents of a tube and filling it up again. Apart from the inherent inaccuracy and imprecision, there must be a chance that some undiluted toxin may not take part in this process, stuck further up the tube, only to drop back at a later stage. One in a hundred dog faeces anyone?
