A work mate told me about this today. He quite often has things like this to discuss.
I expected to see some better pics but the several sites I checked out had the same inconclusive pic.
Could of been a bit more exciting.

All it took was a quick scan to find the name "Richard C. Hoagland". That's all it took for me. The man is crazier than a clown on acid.

Hoagland is a well known kook. The phobos 2 pictures are interesting and the history of the craft itself is fantastic. The pictures taken by phobos 2 which seem to indicate a craft are probably a transmission artifact. The data stream is send back in a line form like tan old spectrum computer. The craft shape is probably lost/bad data that hasnt been printed.

Off-topic, but isn't the internet a wonderful thing? When that unfortunate barmaid fell into the cellar I'll bet she had no idea that her mishap would be immortalized on You've Been Framed and as an avatar. I often wonder if the poor woman was seriously injured. Still, I suppose she has achieved celebrity, which is of course the principal goal of 21st century society. ;)

Here is a bit more of the footage. It was an accident waiting to happen.
