A Humbling Perspective
"Things are not what they seem, nor are they otherwise."

This scale comparison shows "the true place" of Earth and our Sun among the various giants of the universe. It is simultaneously sobering and mind-boggling experience.

First series of images opens with the Death Star compared to Mimas, one of Saturn's moons. Note the similarities between the two :)

Definitely a big thanks on this... not often can one find a good graphics comparison of stars to our actual home star.

I must add, every time I see a pic of Mimas, now, I can't help but think of Eddie Izzard's Death Star canteen skit.

This is also extremely cool, see the planets move about and everything :cheesy:

Simple but effective. You can change rate of rotation, and look from different angles, zoom in etc etc

This is very similar, but animated.

Gawd, I must need new glasses - I thought the thread title was "Stars and Planets Sale". Bang goes my opportunity to invest in some lunar real estate...

Here's a comparison site that's a little more fictional, and geeky - Starship Dimensions (http://www.merzo.net/index.html). Due to some coding it works best in either Internet Explorer >:-) or with the IE Tab add-on in Firefox.
