One of the things I've noticed about 'believers' is their constant use of the word 'impossible'. Thus, something must be paranormal because it is impossible. This begs the question, how do they know 'something' is impossible. They will then either claim to be an expert (years of experience, lots of qualifications etc) or to know one. Their faith in such 'experts' is touching (I'm sure you can find professors who believe in fairies if you try).
My first reaction on being told that something is impossible is to try it anyway. It's amazing how often you find that it isn't impossible after all. Would a believer ever do such a test? Of course not, they 'know' it's impossible so why bother. I think the trouble with 'believers' is that they never tinkered with things as kids.
