Sceptics dismissed the UFOs as nothing more than hot air balloons, fireworks or even lanterns which had broken loose from a local rugby club.Right. There just happened to be skeptics there who could debunk the sighting instantly? ::)

the local rugby club say they were lanterns that blew loose over the weekendBloody skeptics. >:-)

Let's be sensible and assume that they were alien spacecraft until someone proves that they aren't!!!! :cheesy:

I've often seen UFOs in Stratford-upon-Avon. My most impressive sightings have occurred shortly after closing time at the Dirty Duck.

UFO mystery solved (http://www.thisislocallondon.co.uk/news/weird/display.var.1583673.0.bushey_ufo_mystery_solved.ph p).

Isn't it funny how anything unusual is reported as being UFOs?

Not knowing what a light in the sky is does not mean that it is an alien spacecraft, it just means that you don't know what it was.

The floating, circling UFOs seen last Saturday night were, it would appear, little more than Chinese lanterns released as part of a wedding celebration at the Bushey Police Club.

"Is this a UFO which I see before me?
... or art thou but
A UFO of the mind, a false creation,
Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?"

With apologies to Stratford's most famous citizen.

Paper lanterns: http://www.glo-lantern.co.uk/video_html.html
About 3/4 of the way through the video - certainly looks familiar.
