UK-Skeptics is a UK registered not-for-profit organization (No: 05819701) which is administered by director John Jackson and a board of non-executive directors.

As a not-for-profit organization, UK-Skeptics does not have shareholders. Donations received and money accrued by UK-Skeptics cannot be shared out amongst its members; they have to be retained by UK-Skeptics for use in achieving its aims.

Aims and Objectives:

  1. To complement other skeptics’ organisations and the work they do;
  2. To promote skepticism and critical thinking skills in society by providing educational material;
  3. To demonstrate, through educational lectures and electronic and print media, how to evaluate paranormal, supernatural and pseudoscientific claims and the consequences of accepting such claims without question;
  4. To encourage and perform objective and impartial research in areas where it is needed;
  5. To question, challenge and oppose individuals or organizations making claims for products or services that do not stand up to scrutiny.
